Headquartered in San Jose, California, the company's technology produces electricity through an electrochemical conversion process, which can utilize natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen as fuel. Its primary product, the Bloom Energy Server, is deployed at the point of energy consumption for commercial and industrial customers, reducing reliance on the central power grid. The company also develops electrolyzers for hydrogen production. By 2025, Bloom Energy had installed approximately 1.4 gigawatts of capacity at over 1,000 global sites and holds more than 1,000 patents. It became a public company in 2018 after raising significant venture capital.

Epic Games, Inc. is an American video game and software developer and publisher based in Cary, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1991 by Tim Sweeney. Epic Games developed the Unreal Engine, a commercially available game engine that also powers its internally developed video games, such as Fortnite and the Unreal and Gears of War series. In 2014, Unreal Engine was named the most successful videogame engine by Guinness World Records. The company owns game developers Psyonix, Mediatonic, and Harmonix.
