The Basics

By using Sector HQ, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site. We reserve the right to update these terms, and we'll notify you if we make major changes.

What Sector HQ Is

Sector HQ tracks AI-related activity across companies using publicly available information. We aggregate data from news, social media, GitHub, research papers, and other public sources.

What You Can Do

• View the leaderboard
• Sign up for email updates
• Use the API (when it launches) according to your plan limits
• Share links to Sector HQ

What You Can't Do

• Scrape or crawl the site aggressively
• Try to break or hack the site
• Use the data to harass or spam companies
• Misrepresent the data or claim it as your own
• Exceed your API rate limits (when API launches)

Data Accuracy

We do our best to provide accurate data, but we can't guarantee it's 100% correct. The leaderboard is based on publicly available information and algorithmic analysis. Don't make major business decisions based solely on our rankings.

No Warranties

Sector HQ is provided "as is" without any warranties. We don't guarantee the site will always be available, error-free, or that the data will be perfect. Use at your own risk.

Liability

We're not responsible for any damages that result from using (or not being able to use) Sector HQ. This includes lost profits, data loss, or any other indirect damages.

API Terms (When Launched)

When the API launches:

• Free tier: 100 requests/day, no webhooks
• Paid tiers: According to your plan
• Rate limits are enforced automatically
• We may suspend access for abuse or non-payment

Payment & Refunds

For paid API plans (when available):

• Billed monthly in advance
• Auto-renewal unless you cancel
• Refunds at our discretion (usually within 7 days if unused)
• Cancel anytime; service continues until end of billing period

Intellectual Property

Sector HQ owns the site, design, algorithms, and branding. The underlying data comes from public sources. You can use the data according to your API plan, but you can't resell it or claim it as your own work.

Termination

We can terminate or suspend your access anytime for:

• Violating these terms
• Abusing the service
• Non-payment (for paid plans)

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be resolved in [Your Jurisdiction] courts.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll email you (if you're on our list) or post a notice on the site.
