Verda

Verda is a privately held American poultry company that was established in 1939 by Max and Verda Foster. The company specializes in a variety of chicken and turkey products that are advertised as fresh and naturally locally grown. Although its operations are concentrated on the West Coast, the Livingston, California-based company also maintains a small number of locations on the East Coast. Originally family-operated, the firm is currently managed by Atlas Holdings, which acquired it in 2022. The company began with an initial investment of $1,000 into a turkey farm in Modesto, California, later expanding into raising cattle and chickens and acquiring additional farms and a feed mill in the 1950s.
