The company designs, manufactures, and markets vehicles under its four core brands: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac. It also holds interests in the Chinese brands Baojun and Wuling through its SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile joint venture. Beyond its automotive divisions, GM owns the defense vehicles division that produces military vehicles, the OnStar safety and security service, the ACDelco auto parts brand, and a financial lending service. The current company entity was established following a 2009 Chapter 11 reorganization. As of 2024, it is ranked 25th on the Fortune 500 and is the largest automaker in the United States by total sales.
