Forrester and Company was a British marine engine and locomotive manufacturer. Founded by Scottish engineer George Forrester, the company operated from the Vauxhall Foundry in Liverpool beginning in 1827. It initially functioned as an iron foundry, with a significant early focus on producing machinery for sugar processing in the West Indies. The company branched into manufacturing marine engines and produced a limited number of steam locomotives between 1834 and 1847. During the Crimean War, the foundry's output was dedicated to the production of ammunition. The company is no longer in operation.
